Jungle Heaven was founded by myself after feeling the benefits from being outdoors in nature and a love for houseplants.

Mental health and indoor house plants

The choice can be overwhelming and grouping different plants together makes a statement.

Grouping plants together for a dramatic look.

There has never been a time, like now when houseplants have been so popular and with the arrival of Covid-19 in 2020 plus various lock downs came a massive increase in mental health issues with people, being isolated and house bound for months on end. On a more positive note the calming and soothing effects from bringing nature into your home has lead to many people collecting houseplants like never before. I too, like many others have suffered from depression and anxiety for the last couple of years, and just like you I have found a deep sense of well being from being a plant parent.

The houseplant scene has exploded and in particular with the need to have that rare and illusive “Unicorn” plant but remember the more rare that plant is, the higher it will set you back. I have know people to pay many thousands of pounds for a “Unicorn” plant, another type of plant that has made people go weak at the knees is VARIEGATED plants which I will cover in another blog at a later date, so keep collecting my planty friends.
