The big move to south east Asia.

After much deliberation and several years of thinking long and hard about what I want to do with my life where I want to live I decided that it was time. I have visited south east Asia many times and felt like it was my second home, the heat, the food and most of all the people who are “mostly” very kind and love to engage with you .

I boarded my flight from Heathrow on Christmas day 2022 and was bound for Bali, Ubud to be precise as I felt a real connection following a previous visit. I remember feeling spiritually awakened by this place and most of all, I have never seen such an abundance of greenery in the jungles and rice terraces that surround Ubud.

As a plant collector and seller I would normally buy my plants mainly from Indonesia and Thailand and after having a brain fart one day, I realised that the perfect opportunity was waiting for me and that I could live my dream in Asia.

The best part was I could carry on with my plant related business and offer a bespoke service to my customers at the same time. I constantly monitor for the latest plant trends and when I find something of interest I can notify my customers personally who have requested a specific plant, size and any other requirement that they have asked for. This insures that the customer gets the exact plant i have found for them.

I also have the chance to visit the Asian plant shows that happen throughout the year to see what the latest hybrids are available. I will save that story for another Blog
